Age Requirements
Learners should comply with the indicated age requirements, on or before August 31 of the school year applied for:
Pre-Nursery: 2 years old (Only at North Point Campus)
Nursery: 3 years old
Pre-Kinder: 4 years old
Kindergarten: 5 years old
Grade 1: 6 years old
Required Documents for New Students and Transfer Applicants:
A student who wishes to enroll at St. John’s Institute as a new student should comply with the following requirements:
a. PSA Birth Certificate
b. Baptismal Certificate
c. 1 pc. 2 x 2 ID picture with white background
d. ACR/ICR for Foreign Students
Additional Required Documents for Transfer Applicants:
e. Photocopy of Report Card
f. Proof of Chinese Studies for Applicants from Chinese Schools or Certification of Completion of SJI Chinese Summer Class for Applicants from non-Chinese Schools
g. Certificate of Good Moral Character/ Recommendation letter in a sealed envelope
h. Transcript of Records
i. DepEd Certification for Placement of Transferees from Foreign Countries (for applicants from abroad)

Returning Student
A former Johnian who wishes to return to SJI must undergo a thorough screening. The school reserves the right to decide on the readmission or non-admission of a former student who has transferred school or who has previously dropped out.
A returning student must see the Admission officer before he/she can proceed with enrollment.
Procedure for Online Application
a. Create an account via the school portal (https://my.sji.edu.ph).
b. Complete the profile and attach all the documents.
c. Pay the application fee:
Onsite – at the school Accounting Office.
Online – through any bank listed in the school portal.
d. Upload a digital/ scanned copy of the transaction details to the school portal (https://my.sji.edu.ph ) .
e. Allow a period of two (2) to three (3) days for the processing of documents.
f. Take the Entrance Exam as scheduled by the Admission Officer and wait for the result.
g. If qualified, log in to your account and click the Enrollment Button. Proceed to Enrollment.

Enrollment Procedures
1. For Continuing Students:
a. Online Enrollment
i. Log in to http://my.sji.edu.ph.
ii. Access Online Enrollment.
iii. Wait for two (2) to three (3) days to receive Enrollment Confirmation.
b. Onsite Enrollment
i. Proceed to the Enrollment Venue.
ii. Follow the prescribed Enrollment Flow.
iii. Pay the school Fees at the Accounting Counter.
iv. Proceed to the Registrar’s Counter for Verification and Activation of Enrollment.
2. For New Students
a. Comply with the Online Application Requirements (see letter B, numbers 2 & 4).
b. If enrolling online, log in to your account, access enrollment and wait for two (2) to three (3) days to receive confirmation.
c. If onsite enrollment is opted, proceed to the Accounting Office and follow the Enrollment Guide.
3. For Students with Academic Deficiency
a. Present summer grade to the Registrar for evaluation and clearance
b. Once cleared, proceed with enrollment
4. For Students on Academic/Disciplinary Probation
a. Get a written permit from the DFO
b. Proceed with enrollment

According to the COMPENDIUM OF EDUCATION LEGISLATION FOR PRIVATE BASIC EDUCATION (pp 592-593), when a student enrolls in an educational institution, an implied contract is formed where each of the parties has reciprocal rights and obligations. Although it is clear that students have the right to be enrolled, their readmission maybe legally denied in case of academic deficiency or violation of school rules and regulations.
Accounting Policy
1. School Fees Inclusion
a. Tuition Fees
b. Special Fees and other fees (NOPSSCEA, Chinese School Membership Fees, Student ID, Computer and Laboratory Fees, Handbook, Support Materials, Falcon, student Insurance, Library, Medical and Dental Fees, APSA, Graduation Fees, etc.)
2. Modes of Payment
Payment can be done in full upon enrollment, through cash, manager’s check or online payment via bank transfer. Eight installment payments are allowed with the deadline set on the first week of the months of September, October, November, December, January, February, March and April. Only personal checks with no unfunded history are accepted. Onsite payment is through the accounting office and online payment is through SJI bank partners which are listed on the SJI portal.
Note: Students with unsettled accounts will not be allowed to take quarterly examinations nor participate in graduation/completion/moving-up ceremonies.
3. Refund of Fees
A student who will withdraw enrollment must write the Principal or Vice Principal for approval. A certain percentage of the fees for the entire year will be charged, according to the relative date of withdrawal:
a. 5% before the opening of classes
b. 10% within the 1 st week of classes
c. 15% within the 2 nd week of classes
d. 20% within the 3 rd week of classes
e. 100% within or beyond the 4 th week of classes Upon settlement of accounts, the student must submit the official receipt of payment, together with the approved letter, to the Registrar’s Office to secure the Release Letter.
